Stumble It!2nd Degree SPAM

Filed under: Paranoid Ramblings — Eric Ptak @ 12:59 am

I do not send SPAM. I do not like it at all.

However, I have been receiving returned emails lately of unknown origin. I know who I send email to, and people I’ve never even heard of are sending me out of office messages, undeliverable messages and the like, all seemingly originating from a false email address from my domain.

The only thing I can figure is that somehow, someone is encoding an email address that doesn’t exist – ********@ericptak.com (no, I won’t give it out, for that would risk more abuse) as a return address for SPAM they are sending. I need to figure out a way to stop that from happening. That’s simply because, as my site becomes more popular, that sort of thing will invite negative connotations that I do not want or need.

I do not give stock advice via email unsolicited, especially for penny stocks that are bought OTC.

I won’t sell you the secrets of making a fortune in options trading.

I do not offer the knowledge for making millions in metals or commodities for a small price.

I do not promote on-line casino or gambling websites.

I do not sell the secrets of winning lotteries or keno-type games.

I will not tell you how to make lots of cash via the Internet for a very small monthly fee.

I do not advertise for Cialis, Viagra, or any other kind of medication meant to combat erectile dysfunction, so-called “love pills”.

I do not promote anti-depressants or pain-killers to be purchased at over the counter prices.

I do not offer cheap web design.

I do not solicit for sexual dating websites, or for any sexual-type sites whatsoever.

I do not sell knock-off watches, jewelry, purses, or clothing for cheaper than you can get at the stores.

I do not send any kind of SPAM.

I do not like SPAM, Sam-I-Am.

When I do sell something on-line, you will see a Paypal link, to which you will be able to send me money for something that you will actually receive, or access to something I will not put out there at no charge. When I start doing that, it will be legitimate, and you will know it.

So will the IRS, because I will have to pay income taxes, just like the big boys.

And by the way, if you want to help me out in the short term, click on a Google ad once in a while. It’s totally anonymous, and who knows, you may find another site you like, and buy something. You’ll be supporting a legitimate business, and maybe even make me some money, too. After all, that’s the ultimate goal of this project: to make me money.

Nevertheless, as I originally stated in this post, I do not send SPAM, or any kind of unsolicited emails or advertisements. Never have, and never will.
