Things That Make You Go Hmmmmmm . . .
- For some time, things in Iraq have not been going well. The war was contested from the start, and the situation worsens for our troops and the people of Iraq as time goes on.
- In March 2006, James Baker, formerly of both Ronald Reagan’s and George H. W. Bush’s Administrations, joins the Iraq Study Group which was tasked to make reccommendations on what to do in Iraq. Their reccommendations would be announced after the November 2006 elections.
- The Democrats win big in the Fall 2006 elections.
- The day after, Rumsfeld is asked to step down, and Robert Gates, the head of the CIA under HW, is named to replace him.
Does anyone else see the hand of Bush senior in this at all? Georgie-boy has gotten himself into another mess, and Daddy has to help him out.
