Cleaning Up
I spent some time today cleaning up and deleting unnecessary files off the site. I got rid of some of the larger files, mostly movies and shockwave files. It didn’t make sense to put those on the web, when there are already many copies of them on the net, and oftentimes, the original files. Why should I duplicate that on my site? It’s a waste of my webspace.
So I started getting rid of the shit. It took a while for some of the things, because I really could not remember what the videos were. So I had to download the videos, watch them so I knew what to look for, search for them, edit the post, and delete the uploaded file. Yes, it’s a bit of wasted time now, as this is how I should have done it from the start. Unfortunately, I didn’t think of it way back when.
In any event, I’ve cleared some space off my server. More room for me to write, which is why I got this in the first place: to write, not to post other people’s content.
