Stumble It!Bullz-Eye.com – Guys’ Portal to the Web

Filed under: Fun Stuff — Eric Ptak @ 8:46 pm

Bullz-Eye.com is a self-subscribed “Guys’ Portal to the Web”. It’s in the same lines as Maxim, Esquire, Playboy, GQ, and magazines of that type. The difference is, this one seems to only be on-line.

Bullz-eye sections off into these categories: Sports, Movies, Music, Fitness, Cars, Vices, Travel, Models. These are, of course, all the things guys should be interested in. I’m kind of disappointed that there isn’t a technology/science section, but hey, this is an e-zine that appeals to a man’s baser desires. The models are cute, to say the least, and are clothed/covered. No nudity here, although there is an erotica guide.

I saw an article about absinthe, which I know from my college days was used by Van Gogh, Hemingway, Oscar Wilde and others. It’s slightly hallucinogenic, and some consider it an aphrodesiac. I read the article which seemed light and not very in-depth. Then, I noticed this disclaimer on the bottom:

The article on this page is a message from one of our advertisers and the opinions and conclusions expressed therein are not the opinions or conclusions of Bullz-Eye.com or its staff. You are advised to consult other resources regarding the use of this product.

It was apparently written by absinthe.bz, a company that makes it. It seems that the articles that were in the middle column are all this way. So while this would be an interesting site to visit , that’s exactly when I will visit it: once in a while.

  1. Even worse, the writers don’t even get a discount on the stuff!

But, seriously, I hope you’ll consider revisiting the site more often. It’s been awhile since you made this observation – my editor stumbled upon it when doing a search for links to the site – and I’m quite happy to say that, while our site is not devoid of that sort of thing, our content is now decidedly weighted toward non-advertiser-written material. (Lord knows I write enough of it!)
