Today, I was on the phone with a gentleman from the deep south. He was elderly, and black. We were discussing business, and he had to run off to get some paperwork. I could hear his heavy footsteps as he exited the room he was in.
After a minute, I heard footsteps come back into that room, and an older woman yelled out, “Whoooo-weeeeee! Papa, you jus’ pass gas in hee-yah?”
I heard the old man run back onto the room, exclaiming, “Goddam it woman! Don’cha know I’m on da phone wit’ da bank???”
I had to mute my line as I was laughing my ass off. He didn’t mention what the wife said, and I didn’t inquire further about that little episode.
