Impacts on Others
Last fall, I talked to this woman who was in trouble: she was disabled, her husband committed suicide a few years back, and she was in danger of losing her home. She was in the process of selling things to make ends meet. She was thinking about selling stuff on ebay, and I encouraged her to go for it. I didn’t know what she could sell, but I said try it, and see what you can do.
Yesterday, I talked to her again. She took my advice, and is selling things on ebay. Not necessarily what she first intended, but she is selling enough to where she thinks she can go off SSI/disability. She’s even considering hiring someone to help her out. I thought that was pretty cool. It’s good to know that when you talk to someone, you have an impact on their life. In this case, for me, it was a major impact.
