Earth Day
I missed Earth Day yesterday. With everything that’s been gong on, I forgot completely about it. However, if you consider that I do try to live as environmentally responsible as possible, I would say that every day is Earth Day for me. Just like when I am in a relationship, every day is Sweetest Day, and so on and so forth.
I use public transportation. I conserve electricity. I use rechargeable batteries. I don’t litter. I compost scraps. I sort and recycle. It depresses me when I see litter, polluted rivers, streams, lakes, and air. This last winter and how warm it was and the way some would try to discount global warming really bothers me.
I hope that the human race is smart enough to right this boat and prevent a worldwide environmental disaster. I’m not going to hold my breath, though.
