Blocked SPAM

Well, I finally got rid of the SPAM. A majority of it anyways. I smply blocked these two IP ranges:

  • 84.16.231.*
  • 84.110.*.*

It worked quite nicely, thank you. Unfortunately, anyone from Amsterdam who wants to go onto my site will have a hard time, as they will not be able to see it. When the children play bad, take their toys away.

Them’s the breaks you get for having someone who is a bad egg screw with other people. There’s some innocents that get hurt, some collateral damage. But in the end, I win, not those morons who steal space from other people in order to try to make money from stuff they probably aren’t selling, anyway.

They are just looking for someone to rip off, and hopefully not get caught. It’s credit card fraud done internationally over the internet. You think you’re getting Viagra, Cialis, or something else relly cheap and without a prescription. Then someone taps your card for everythihng it has and then some, leaving you with a lot of unwanted debt. And if someone gets burned, it’s some poor college professor from The University of Great Falls [1], Union College [2], Anoka Technical College [3], Yale University [4], or St. John’s Seminary, Camarillo [5] whose website was SPAMed, not the person in Amsterdam who actually stole the money.

It’s a pity I had to do it, but I gotta do what I gotta do. They were unnecessarily using up bandwidth that other paying customers to my site need to use. So they go away.
