Messing Around

Recently, a librarian at OSU suggested putting The Marketing of Evil: How Radicals, Elitists, and Pseudo-Experts Sell Us Corruption Disguised As Freedom [1] on the freshman recommended reading list. There was a hubub because a couple of gay teachers took offense to the suggestion. David Kupelian, the author, is apparently associated with WorldNetDaily and is a homophobe. The book is a diatribe against anything remotely liberal. It’s a reactinary bunch of fear-mongering bullshit and represents a desire to go back to “the way things were 50 years ago”. That wasn’t a quote, but the quotations were used because I would suggest that Kupelian hasn’t a clue what things were like 50 years ago. If he does, he’s looking through extra-rosy-colored glasses.

So I reviewed his book, mocking him and the people who agree with his knee-jerk, anti-liberal, I-don’t-like-the-world-today Luddite agenda. It’s the one called “Sheer Humor”. People like them should crawl back into the ocean from which they emerged.

SIlly fossils. Let the human race progress.
