Game Four

Game three sucked. Sure we lost, but I had a feeling it would happen, and it did. I was predicting before the series started that it would go to five games, anyway.

The problem is that we beat ourselves. We let in a shorthanded goal. We scored a goal on ourselves. We let Forsberg score off of Miller’s back. The powerplay was terrible. We weren’t peppering Esche with enough shots. If any one of these things were different, the game would have at least gone into overtime, and it would have been a win for the Sabres. Still, it didn’t happen.

We beat ourselves.

Now comes game four. We have to go back to controlling the game. Afinagenov needs to step up and do some scoring. Everyone does. Even Greir. This is a very beatable Flyers team. It should be a shellacking like it’s no one’s business. 10-3 would not be a bad score. It would be a proper accounting of the difference between our two teams.
