Google Ads

On my email and forward archive [1], I added a Google Ad to the top, and it’s generating more hits than the ads down the side, which is cool. I’ve had more success with that ad in the last week, than I’ve had with the ads on the side in the last two months. Of course, it helps that in the last week I’ve had about 24 hits a day on average, double what I’ve had since inception. This is good. More is better.

It’s funny, though, because the most commonly hit page is something that’s being passed through the email system: the frog eye test [2]. It’s just plain funny.

What’s really cool is that a good percentage of people are bookmarking it. That means repeat visits which only bodes well for me. I just have go back in my emails to 2004 and earlier, making the Re: & Fwd: archive even more extensive. That’s why I added 5x more server space this weekend. I’m going to need it.
