The Buffalo Peregrine Falcon Bird Cam ^[1] is pretty cool. I like it on a number of levels. First of all, as an environmentalist, it is good to see that in spite of all mankind’s transgressions committed against nature, a pair of birds like this can flourish. On an ironic level, I like this because even in a 21^st century city, bereft of any real nature in its downtown area, Mother Nature can thumb her nose at us. Educationally, I like it because without disturbing the birds, we can witness their life cycle. Civically, I like it because it’s something unique to Buffalo; it’s something to be proud of.
