Sabres

Last night, the Sabres beat Toronto in the second game of a rare away and away series, after being blown out in the first game. It was nice to see them win one in overtime again. It wasn’t a commanding win like I used to expect, but it was a win, and I’ll take it.

With that win, the Sabres secured themselves a spot in the playoffs. The good thing is that they won to get in, and didn’t back in because of a loss by Atlanta.

Now they get a day off, and they get to go into a sickeningly difficult stretch: Ottowa, Philly, Ottowa, and a home-and-home against Montreal. Whoever came up with this part of the schedule had a rather sick sense of humor. However, if the Sabres make it out of this stretch winning three of five games, thy will be looking good for the playoffs, especially if one of those wins comes against Ottowa. They have to get that monkey off of their back.

Bills

It looks like Moulds is going to Houston. Good for him, and I’m sad to see him go. Mularkey, even though he isn’t here anymore, soured him on Buffalo, and that’s too bad. If we make a run at anything this year, which is not what I am expecting, he would have been a good tool to help get there.

Baseball Season Opens!

Who gives a fuck?
