Upgrading can be a pain in the ass. I just got through upgrading another part of my website. It’s where I post all the jokes and pictures that people forward to me ^[1]. It took me a couple of hours to do. You have to back everything up, then delete all pertinent files, FTP new files, run scripts, make sure plug-ins work, and then, after crossing fingers and knocking wood, hope everything works. Unfortunately, the spell checker does not work for the new WordPress, but I was able to get the “Email this Post” plug-in to work, which is nice. I figure, since most traffic to my website is to that part of my site, I may as well set it up so that people can email jokes to their friends. It should draw more traffic, and hopefully generate more money.
